Incep CRM handbook
Incep CRM follows one thread from end to end: a stranger becomes a lead, a lead becomes an opportunity, a won opportunity becomes a client, and the work you do for that client becomes projects, invoices and revenue you can report on.
Every page in this handbook covers one part of that thread. You do not need to read it in order. If you are setting the CRM up for the first time, start with Getting started and follow the checklist on your dashboard.
How the pieces connect
/dashboardAlmost everything in the CRM hangs off two ideas: a record of who someone is, and a record of what you are trying to sell them. Get those two right and the rest of the app fills itself in.
- Companies and contacts
- The businesses and people you deal with. Everything else points at one of these.
- Leads
- Someone who might buy, captured with a source so you can see what is working.
- Opportunities
- A qualified lead with a value, a service and a stage. This is what the pipeline reports read.
- Clients
- A won opportunity, promoted to someone you are actually delivering for.
- Projects and tasks
- The delivery work, and the checklist under it.
- Quotes, invoices and revenue
- What you proposed, what you billed, and what actually landed.
The dashboard
/dashboardThe dashboard is the answer to "what is happening this month". It shows new leads, revenue recorded, open pipeline value, and progress against your monthly revenue goal, alongside charts of where leads and revenue came from.
While your workspace is new it also carries a getting started checklist. Each item ticks itself off when the underlying record actually exists, so it always reflects the real state of your data rather than what you clicked. You can hide it once you are set up, and bring it back from Help in the sidebar.
Using this handbook
Each page names the exact screen it documents in a small code chip, so you can keep the app open beside it. The sidebar groups pages the same way the app groups its navigation.
