AI site and store setup
AI setup is the fastest way to take a fresh deployment to a presentable site. It sits behind the AI Store Setup Assistant flag and needs an AI key configured.
It has two tabs. Website architect plans the whole site: it works out what kind of business you are, proposes a sitemap you can edit, and then builds every page from it. Store setup is the guided ecommerce intake, with a fixed page set plus the catalog, cart, checkout, shipping, and payment settings. Both write into the same builder, so you can start with either and edit the result normally.
The guided setup wizard
/admin/ai-setupYou describe the business in a single brief and the setup configures the whole site around it, ready to review. Nothing is published until you say so, and every page it writes is a version you can roll back.
- Brand theme
- A design system to match the brief: colours, typography, and component styling.
- Core pages
- Home, about, contact, and the rest of the sitemap, built in the page builder.
- Product template
- A product detail page template wired up as the live template, on stores that sell.
- Navigation and footer
- Menus and a footer populated for the store.
- Platform settings
- Sensible starting settings for catalog, cart, checkout, shipping, and SEO.
Treat it as a strong first draft. Once it runs, refine the individual areas covered in this guide to make the site your own.
Setup can also start from a template rather than from nothing, in which case the AI dresses an already designed site with your business instead of inventing a layout. See Starting from a template.
